Clarity

While I live in a rather common suburb (I love my neighborhood), I work in a rural area in the next county. The countryside is very pretty with bluffs and rolling hills. However, that makes driving, especially in snow, less than a stellar experience. That being said, the attempt to straighten the road in front of our school breaks my heart. There are all these huge pieces of equipment destroying the wooded hillsides and then hauling away the hillsides themselves. Something in me cannot help but protest to the loss of beauty.
