Last night, I saw the movie “Mr. baseball”. The main character said, “I’m a baseball player, I’ve always been a baseball player…even before I was a baseball player, I was a baseball player.” Yet, can we ever have that certainty? I thought I had it once…my definition of who I was…defined by what I did…my job.
Then I had a child and the world opened up to me as it did to her. Then I was one-dimensional, yet with animation. Now…Christian, mother, friend, volunteer, student, daughter, sister, teacher…my view has changed, allowing me to be more…to redefine myself.
Yet, I think there is always more to discover, so I may now never have the definitive answer to the question
